Is there any chance of seeing great discounts on the x series as the recent Amex special price of $664 for x200s? I just missed out on that great deal. Any chance of seeing such a good deal in the near future say about a month? Thanks . If not then I might decide to go to for some other laptop but ideally I would love to go for x200s.

Yes. When the new x series was introduced the x61/s/t were on sale for a few months after with some deep discounts at times.

there is always a chance of a greater discount before stocks run out, but by how much, maybe 5% or 10%. But there is also a chance that many parts you wanted are no longer available, or Lenovo cancelling your order because there is no parts or the range is sold out. If anyone wanted to buy any thinkpads just before and after christmas would be a good time.

I remember last year as I was shopping for Thinkpads, Lenovo had a pretty good sale around Thanksgiving, at least for the T-series. I would bet that there will be some pretty good prices on the X-series as well, although I can't say whether it will go that low.

That's an amazing price ... just keep your ears tuned ... and check out the usual deal sites religiously.

When the deal comes just get ready to pull the trigger.
