For my T60 at work (CoreDuo, 14"), they got us a docking station. Everytime I take it out and later put it back into the docking station, I can't wake up my T60 to send any signal to the monitor. I have most of the power saving feautures disabled in my Power Setup, only have "turn off monitor after 5 min" while running on a battery. Is there a special key sequence from external keybard I can use to "wake up" the laptop/monitor?

You can try pressing the power button on the docking station.

Also under powersettings go to Advanced. What did you set the 'When I close the lid of my portable computer' option to?

I set that option to "Do nothing". Pressing power button doesn't help, and if I push it too long, laptop shutsdown...

It may be off-topic, but my Fujitsu-Siemens won't wake up if the USB "configuration" is changed (e.g. mouse removed or attached), while the notebook is in sleep mode. It powers-on, but the notebook is stuck somewhere there in windows (XP). Try to investigate this sort of problems. It could be for example some mouse software etc.
