If you are still waiting, I think you are going to be waiting much much longer.

17'' laptops are more of a consumer market, not a business one.

    You won't see a 17" Thinkpad. Sorry.

True, 17'' is for entertainment, not for business, unless Lenovo wants to be more competitive with others :D

Not necessarily for entertainment. It could be for desktop replacement or mobility in the home environment. But as already stated. Lenovos market is for the business user on the go. Anything above 15" and weight and portability go downhill. Some people even think 15" is too big. So until Lenovo decides to expand their market. It won't happen. But then they will loose some of their "business class" image.

I agree with stallen. A 17" is not very portable at all, and is not for business portability use.

How about a 17-inch workstation? That can't go wrong, right? I'll be more than glad to see a 17-inch T61p.

Again, a 17" workstation is bordering along just having a desktop. A 17 is not a feasible solution in terms of portability - remember that the ThinkPad line is about business in the *portable* sense, and a 17" while yes you can carry it, it is not "common", I guess.

I really dont see a 17" thinkpad ever being made unless we all start carrying around 17's.

I am aware of the M90, but again in my opinion I do not think a 17" is feasible for business use.

Yeah, I agree with you. It's just not many people are like me. I do a lot of computations. So I need a fast, reliable laptop with a big screen. Nothing about entertainment and home use. And believe it or not, I carry my 17-inch dell everyday. And I don't mind the weight.
Well as long as there's not many people like me, I won't see a 17-inch thinkpad.

What you define as business use may be different than someone else's definition. I'm only suggesting the M90 because it has a 17'' screen and is considered a business-class notebook.
