This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Banned from Lenovo Forums? Anyone know what to do?

    Hey.

    I have recently been banned from Lenovo Forums without reasons. I have tried to clear my cookies multiple times with no luck. This is the error I am presented:

    We're sorry, but you have been banned from using this site.
    Return to my original page

    Whenever I try to press Return to my original page I get a new error:

    An Unexpected Error has occurred.
    Sorry, your request failed. A notification has been sent to the development team for investigation.

    Please click the Back button on your browser.
    Return to my original page

    I have only posted about the y510p and the possibility to swap the HDD with SSD and about buying a DVD-Drive ultrabay on the forums.
    Does anyone of you know how I can get in touch with Lenovo to resolve this? I can't seem to understand what of my content that breaks the community guidelines/rules.

    EDIT: I have seen that two Lenovo supporters are active or have been active on these forums in 2012 because a user had the same issues as me, but I cant seem to find them being online anymore here.

    What was your original account name (the one that was banned)?

    I tried to find accounts similar to your current name as well as other accounts on the same IP, but to no avail.

    I am also reporting this to Admin. Hopefully we can solve this mystery.

    Edit: Other moderators pointed out to me you were referring to Lenovo Forums, not NBR. Duh :eek:

    Let's see if somebody here can help. Also, if you haven't already, I suggest you create a new account there and ask their moderators for help.

    Use the second one going forward. We don't allow two usernames over there (or here, for that matter). PM me if you need help with that.

    I still cannot access :/ Could you please attempt to manaully delete the user bendikz and bendikz2 at the forums? Also, if you send me an PM here (I can't) I can send you my IP in-case of a IP-ban.

    The second one is an active account, so it must be an IP ban.

    The email address associated with the username "rotterdam" was banned at the user's request on 5-22-2010. It was associated with a different username at that time.
