Is there a way to perform a battery calibration in BIOS? I know my ASUS machine has the ability but does the T61?
-
It is available via an option under 'Battery Maintenance' in the Power Manager. At least that is how it is done on my T60.
-
What do you specifically mean by "battery maintenance"?
-
Double click the battery indicator in the systems tray, it'll open up the Power Manager. Then click the "battery information" tab. You should see a button called "Battery Maintenance."
Edit: You can also access the "Power Manager" by clicking the blue ThinkVantage button. Then go down to "ThinkVantage Technologies," followed by "Power Manager." -
Ohh pshhhh... I knew that!
-
What exactly does the Battery Maintenance do? I also have it set to remind me when to perform battery maintenance, but it has yet to popup since the 2 month I've owned this x60s.
-
It just enables you to change the way the battery charges so as to prolong battery life.
-
No battery BIOS calibration then I assume? Oh well.
-
All the posts just told you how to do the battery calibration. It's under battery maintenance. It doesn't do it from the BIOS, it doesn't need to.
