    I'm planning on adding more memory later (much cheaper) and would like to know what's the difference between the regular screen and the premuim screen. Also, is it worth to add $20 for a wireless lan upgrade?

    Stick with the base Core i5-3210M configuration; there won't be any noticeable performance gains from the slightly-higher-clocked CPU. The Premium display is a must-have option; it is the IPS display with much better colors, viewing angles, and brightness over the base screen. Unless you have a particular need for the 6205 wireless card, the base Intel card (a $0 upgrade) should be fine.

    The 2x2 display construction allows for 2 WiFi antennae (Intel 6205). The 3x3 allows for 3 antennae (Intel 6300), but no camera.

    Yes, it is worth to add $20 for Intel 6205.

    Congratulations on your purchase; sounds like a great configuration and price. Was there a special deal at Lenovo or was this through the Barnes and Noble club?

    @kaso:
    I didn't notice any mention of camera in the configuration. Would definitely prefer that on the 3x3.

    The 3rd antenna enables (possibly) better WiFi range, but removes the option for the front-facing camera.

    If you select Intel 2200 (dual stream, single band) or 6205 (dual stream, dual band), there is no point in selecting 3x3 display.

    Always get the IPS display, no point of considering an X230 if you don't get it (resale value tanks too). 6205 is a great WLAN, in my X220t I never had connection problems.

    My notebook sits right next to the router, and any WLAN card is great.

    My two cents: Get the premium screen - the IPS screen is worthwhile. If you need a webcam, the antenna must be 2x2. Although convenient, the fingerprint is not really necessary. I will probably not get one with my next ThinkPad. Also, unless you use Bluetooth often, I would get rid of that too. If you don't need a webcam, I would upgrade the wireless to a 6300.

    You would be crazy not to get the IPS LCD option on the X220/X230. The image quality between the TN and IPS are night and day.
