Well, my t61p arrived and I was interested to see what components were used to build my computer. Load up the lenovo site, type up my computer info
type and s/n....and i get a "sorry nothing in our system matches those codes" message. So I go to the warranty page and push the Automatically Detect Machine settings and view warranty button. I get a "sorry this machines does not exist" error.
Any ideas on this? Does it take them some time to update the website with system information?

Yes it usually takes some time. In the mean time, run PC Wizard 2007.

As soon as my t61 was shipped, I was able to look up the parts and the warranty information. From I've read previously on these forums, other people have too.
-
mine worked about noon on the day i recieved it.
-
well, mines still isn't up and it's been 3 days since i've had my laptop
-
ouch that sucks. are you looking it up right? try looking up the warranty manually.
-
i just called them and they said it might take up to a week to process the info.
looking up the warranty manually results in the same error. -
