    Hello,

I can't get the laptop to boot from the Msata: (Crucial M4/128gb). De Msata is recognized in the bios, altough as an Internal HDD for some reason.
These are the things I've tried:
    1. UEFI mode and under the header EFI the windows boot manager Crucial M4 on the top: Windows 8 won't start and I have to acces the bios again
    2. Legacy support with UEFI as priority. Under the header boot device priority M4 on the top; Windows 8 starts but I don't believe it uses the M4 as the boot disk. Because I notice no difference in performance and I can't format and/or clean the HDD because it's being recognized as the boot device.
    3. Legacy support with legacy as priority: Couldn't even get in the bios, needed an internet connection
    4. HDD removed from laptop. Windows 8 won't start. I can still acces BIOS.
I don't have a Windows 8 DVD. Factory reset won't work because: ''can't reset pc a required drive partition is missing''
I just bought the laptop so my data isn't important. My Msata is recognized in Windows and I can put stuff on it.

What I wanted to do was this:

    1. Shrink Win8 partition to the same or smaller size than the SSD
    2. Clone win8 to the Msata SSD
    3. In BIOS change the boot order so that the laptop boots up from the SSD first.

    Pretty easy, huh?

If that'd work I would not have made this thread. As soon as I change the boot order to use the SSD instead of the HDD I get windows auto repair and I have to acces the bios again. GPT/MBR doesn't matter. Maybe it's just broken? I'm gonna try to get my hands on a windows 8 dvd or a .iso and see if I can install windows on the SSD. If that doesn't work then I really have no options left

I had the exact same issue as you, that windows repair thing at boot up was driving me mad... the problem was I hadn't shrunk the windows 8 partition to a smaller size than my SSD since the shrinking program that comes with windows wouldnt let me shrink it any more. So I grabbed another program and shrunk C to ~170gb since my SSD is 256GB. After that I cloned windows 8 partition to the SSD and changed boot order, since then its been working wonderfully ;)

But yeah if that doesnt work for you then doing a clean install is the last option, you know you can download windows 8 iso on any torrent site and put it on a USB, then just install it on the SSD, you wont need any serial since BIOS will take care of the activation.
