If I choose option 2, I heard I will lose "CENTRINO", what exactly will I lose and does it really matter.

Also is the second one, the only one that is atheros?

    2. ThinkPad 11a/b/g Wi-Fi wireless LAN Mini-PCIe US/EMEA/LA/ANZ

Centrino is nothing more than a marketing term. To be Centrino approved, the laptop must have a certain Intel chipset, Intel wireless card, and Intel CPU.

Option 2 is the only Atheros Wireless card.
