    Hello
I just got my order, A T61 with 100 GB, Vista Home Premium

I usually made two partitions in my old laptop [C for win and progs and D for data..] I was doing that because if C crashes, I don't loose anything.

Is it better that I do it in new laptop too. I am new in Vista.

another question,is there any advice for using battery. it has a 9 cell battery

    Thanks in advance

I wish you had not ordered Home Premium. Business and Ultimate have Complete PC Backup which makes an image backup of your system disk while it's running. You can do a complete restore from these obviating the need for a partition.

I think there is a app I used a while back called Partition Magic or Acronis Partition, it seemed to work for me, I also believe there is something built-in to the admin services of vista, poke around in your control panel and see about like admin disk management.
