Hello,
I have a T510 and I am planning to clone its 500GB hard drive onto a 500GB Samsung SSD (Samsung Electronics Samsung 840 Series Solid State Drive 500DB MZ-7TD500BW) by using Acronis True Image Home (2010).
As someone suggested, for this cloning, I bought a USB 2.0 to SATA 7+15 Pin 22 Pin Adapter Cable for 2.5" inch HDD Hard Disk Drive at ebay:

If you look at the picture, this adapter has two USBs.
For the clone, do I have to use the TWO USBs? Or should I just use ONE? What is the purpose of having two USBs on this adapter?
Besides, I will also be grateful if someone can share their experience in this type of disc cloning. I just dont want to make mistakes.
Happy holidays!
Regards.

Piece of cake.
The two USB connectors (toward the computer) are there to handle the rare cases where power (to the external drive) is not adequately supplied by one USB connector. Nowadays, virtually all external drives can be powered with just one USB 2.0 connector.
Just follow the on-screen instructions (seriously). Just clone all partitions. Things are really simple in your case because the source and the target are of the same size. -
Kaso, thanks for being so helpful all the time!
Wish you a very merry Christmas and happy New Year!
Cheers.
