Does the X1 Carbon still have the same TFT display as last year?

I bought an X1 Carbon probably 6 months ago or so as I had the X230 with IPS. I had to return it as I couldn't hande the screen temperature. I found it was so blue and cold that it just looked awful, like everything had a blue tint to it. Next to my X230 I found the X230 looked insanely better. I also have a MacBook Air and I found even it seems much warmer and better. I really loved the X1 though and was so disappointed to have to return it.

I notice it looks like they have been refreshed as I see reviews all from May and June 2013, and the Lenovo website says New. It doesn't indicate IPS or anything different with the display from before though but no one seems to really complain about it. When I bought mine a lot of reviews did say it seems to have a blue tint to it and there were lots of forum posts with people using different color profiles to make it more warm etc.

I haven't used my X230 since returning the X1 as I only use my Mac, but the thing is now when I use the X230 it seems SO warm to me, like everything looks red/yellow and whites don't even look white. So now I almost feel like the X230 is way too warm and so it really made the X1 look awful. I'm tempted to buy it again and take a chance but am nervous I'll have the same issue. I may go for the touch version as maybe that has a different display but not sure just wanted to get others thoughts on this. When I showed the machine to friends they didn't really notice anything until I put the X230 beside it. To me it seemed so awful that I thought everyone would be complaining about how terrible it is, but again I'm just wondering if it's due to using the X230. Thanks!

I think it's unlikely they'd change the screen until they refresh the model. I found the screen to be a bit blue out of the box too, but that can be mitigated with calibration.
