    Nope.....only one storage bay but you can upgrade with a SSD.

    It's not the end of the world, you can get cheap high capacity SSD's these days.

    Agreed! I was contemplating replacing my Y510p with a Y50 but not having that additional space for 2 drives killed that dream for me. My current setup has a 128GB SSD for the OS and a 1TB SSD for storage. I can't/won't backtrack on upgrade options.

    Is it really not reasonable to just partition out 128 GB of the 1 TB drive for the OS?

    I don't know if it's reasonable but it's the way I decided to go since I need every gigabyte of the storage for media. I dabble a bit in audio/video production. I run Ubuntu and I like to keep my root and home portions on separate drives.
