    Electric Shocks?

    I just received my Thinkpad T61 a week ago. It runs fine, however there is a noticeable electric shock that zaps me from time to time when I go to use the keyboard. Anyone get the same problem? Anyone know what the problem might be?

    lol...static electricity?..or does the notebook love ya..you never know..it might be sparks of love!...this place has driven us batty...now someone asks a serious question and we just write some crap down lol...seriously i really know other than static electricity :l

    I get that from my crappy HP laptop since I removed the ground from the plug to be able to fit it in older outlets. I think it's normal but kind of dangerous for the hardware. Is your computer connected to the ground wire?
