There were two Screws that came with the Notebook & others accessories.
One should be a replacement screw.
Is the other (short - hex) screw for the missing screw hole (copper looking threads)- Right-Rear of Laptop.

You may want to contact Lenovo directly about that. I know that early shipments of the Compal HEL80 came with extra screws to help secure the keyboard, as the OEMs believed the keyboard to be a compression fit, but found at the last moment that they were actually traditional screw-secured assemblies.

Security screws... they replace a couple of the screws with ones that are harder to remove (check the heads). One is for the hard drive bay, the other is for the optical drive.

I still don't get it folks. I know that the shorter of the two extra screws that came with my T61 is to secure the ultrabay drive. What is the use of the longer screw? Please help!

I had the same question too. Where do these screws go? how do I secure the ultrabay drive?

It should be the Hex screw which goes into the copper female threaded hole. I believe the other one is a replacement screw for the ones that releases the palm rest cover (where the memory modules bays are)
