If you watch this video, you can see that when the user swipes his fingerprint, windows 7 shows the username and password field before logging in automatically via fingerprint.

With my X220 setup, if I swipe my fingerprint, windows 7 boots up without showing my username and password field [like this]. This is fine if I actually do use my fingerprint, but if I decide to power on the laptop via the power button and manually type in my password, I am forced to 'change the user' credentials first before I can actually type in the password.

This also means that if I log-off from my account or hit the windows key + L to lock the computer, there are 2 user accounts displayed - my primary administrative account + the fingerprint log in.

Does anyone know how to remove this?

    Thanks.

You could remove the Lenovo fingerprint software and try using the built-in Windows 7 biometric system. I think you may need Pro or Ultimate for that. That's what I use on my X301 and it works pretty well, don't know if you can boot the machine through it though, never tried. I only use it for logging in or unlocking the screen.

I'm not sure how they were able to do that, I use TV fingerprint reader version 5.9.5 and I have the same functionality as yours. What are your settings under TV fpr? I also get Fingerprint logon by default when I lock the comp, and have to click 'other credentials' and it will show my user name and I can click it and enter my password manually.
