    Hi all.

I'm only days away from ordering my T60.. and I'm beginning to grow in some doubts :). I am planning on getting Thinkpad with international warranty (I live in Europe and I'm just spending summer in US), but those are pricey.. Cheapest 15" thing I was able to find is about $1900, and it comes with 60GB HD, just the combo drive and 512 mb ram - configured with things I would like to get costs like $2500, which is too much.

I realised that Z61 for $2000 would have 1 gig of ram, 100 gig hd and super multi burner. But does it have IPS screen?

Main reason for buying laptop for me is programming (thus sxga+ res and best keyboard avaiable). I know I could live with Z61 quality - especially when it comes with 3 years warranty - but I'm also concerned about my eyes, for which I'd like to get the best screen.

    Help me...?

    :)

IPS screens aren't currently made in the widescreen format. While the old R series had IPS screen on the 15" version, only the 15" T60 has the IPS screen now. The screens available with IPS are the SXGA+ and the UXGA ones. IMO, the IPS screen is worth every bit of the extra $$$.

    cheers!
