no did you get yours??
-
the laptops dont come with a recovery disk. they have a recovery partition. when you get the laptop you have the option of burning the recovery dvd's from the thinkvantages tools.
You can also call up ibm and try to get them to send you a set -
They don't mail out disks; you have to make your own as mentioned.
If you call Lenovo within 30 days they should send you a set for free. After that it cost something. -
I have this information when I looked up my FRU.
42V9501 43T8112 VISTA BUSINESS 64 BIT RECOVERY DISC YES -
I have another strange thing
There is no part # or FRU # for LCD in my online parts look-up -
And many, many, many times at that.
The FRU that comes in your order list means nothing. You need to enter the lookup page that we have in the ThinkPad Sticky which allows you to enter your laptop's serial number and model. Then, you'll find the relevant FRU's to look up. -
Yes, I exactly as you said (s/n and model #). the only differenct is the serial number is from shipping notice.
-
they did not even bother to ship a Vista Anytime upgrade DVD with my T61. Talk about sloppy job. hehehe
-
it seems like all the people who are getting thinkpads now a days are not getting it. you can do evil things with the anytime upgrade dvd i guess.
Guys, do you have recovery disc with original box?
