Whenever I shutdown my T61 on Windows Vista it boots the shutdown screen with no text then goes back to my desktop then boots the shutdown screen with text and my computer shuts down. Do you know what the problem is?

Do you have "Wake On LAN" enabled? This can happen if WOL is enabled, the NIC is set to wake on "directed packet" and another machine on the LAN tries to access it. I know that's a pretty rare combo, but I've seen it.
or try shutting off the wifi before shutting down.... -
How do I disable WOL?
