Hello,
Can I take an external Harddrive (seagate's : http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=1349196) open the box and exchange it with my T40 hard drive (After copying my notebook harddrive to the seagate's, so all the drivers should be there.) and put my notebook one inside the seagate box ?
Like this I would have a faster laptop which I think is only at 4200 rpm.
Also, if I buy a new hard drive, which connection do I need?
The reason I prefer to replace with the seagate one is that that will be the fastest to do and I won't have to wait several days for parts to arrive.
Thanks.

I thought the T40s came with 5400RPM drives.
Your laptop uses an IDE connector. -
Thanks.
Later T40s came with 5400 but mine still with 4200 (or it was a choice for a bigger hard drive, don't really remember). -
My T40 has a 4200rpm drive. Got it in Aug of 03.
Harddrive upgrade for T40
