Has anyone ordered a Core Duo processor yet from Lenovo?

Curious on what the ships times were, and if you were able to knock the price down at all.

 

I have not, the notebooks won't be shipping until February at the earliest, I usually get a review unit a month before the "real" units start shipping and Lenovo has not told me when to expect a machine yet (although they hinted at next week) -- so I would guess mid to end of February would be an optimistic ship date for a Core Duo ThinkPad.

 

I've made a phonecall today to our Lenovo office down here (again ), and the employee that helped me with the questions I had about the T60, told me it would be somewhere between the official releasedate of 14th of February and the first 2 week of March. The availability, should include the low-end to high-medium range of models.

 

No, I'm not going to order from Lenovo, too.

 

im planning on ordering one, and the pricing it shows for me is a bit less than list.

 

do they allow pre-ordering yet?

 

i would assume, i can add the 2 x60 models and a t60 or two to my cart to see pricing. Availability shows at 45days for all, but that may be a placeholder for now.

(this is by taking the model number out of tabook or the other model selection screens and plugging it into the quick order field without a dash in the number).
