Hi All,
I was planning on purchasing Lenovo x200s through Lenovo american express daily wish site where the laptop was going for a considerable amount of discount with base price starting on $699. I had configured the laptop as per my requirements and mailed the cart to me yesterday. When I went to the lenovo american express site today the base price has increased to $899.
My submission to all of you is will lenovo give me the laptop for the price saved in the cart and emailed to me if I talk with them on the phone regarding my problem? Has anyone ever faced a similar situation and did lenovo rep honour it?

I don't think they will. The website specifically tells you when the coupon runs out. x(
Good luck. -
Unlikely.
If you wish to hold a price, you need to save it as a quote. This is done from the checkout screen where you select "Save as a Quote" instead of putting in your credit card number. When you do this they will honor the quote for thirty days; but you cannot make any changes.
If you didn't save as a quote I doubt they'll honor the price. Can't hurt to call I suppose, but I wouldn't have your hopes up. -
If you save as quote (not just a print out of the cart), they may honor it (the above poster says they will; I do not have direct experience.
They will do a one time price match if you buy an item, and it drops in price. The trick is you have to save it as a quote. (i.e. you have a quote number, just like you have an order number. It must be the same config/options on the order.
You can do this anytime after you order and 21 days after it's shipped.
So that's a pretty long spread. You have to wait until after your item ships, then call for the price match.
I did this on a recent laptop purchase, and watch the site every couple days for new deals/coupons, and saved a bunch of quotes. When I had the lowest one, I called and did the price match. It was very easy and got a credit within a week.
So I saved an additional 15% (about $130 in this case) off an already good deal, so I am very satisfied.
Fyi...got with a T series with the roll cage. My laptop took a hard fall yesterday, and the cage and active protection (disk "airbag") worked great and not issue. The same type of fall killed HPs and injured Dells in the past. Thinkpads are work every penny, and they are still cheap (relative.) -
Hi,
Yup you guys were right. The lenovo rep told that he is not in a position to honour the price as I had saved it in my cart and not as save as quote in which case they would have been in a position to honour the price. Oh well will wait in the near future for any great deals as this one.
Any chance of seeing x200s for the base price of $699 anytime soon? I don't mind waiting for a month or so. -

are you buying from the states?
I found a promo code for 15% all x series. That may take a bit off your total but wont reduce it to 699
USPNOTEBOOKS is the code -

even with the employee discount stacked with an additional 7% discount coupon I could not come near a base price of $699
Help Does lenovo honour the price saved in the cart and mailed to me?
