I'm sending my X61 for repair. I've got the boxes today (Friday morning) from Fedex, and I wasn't home. I've got the boxes today and packed the laptop with the instructions, but I don't know what to do now. Should I contact someone ot will the fedex guy will come to pick this up on the evening or on Sunday?

Thanks for any quick help on this.

You either need to call FedEX to schedule a pickup, or you can run it by a FedEX store (Kinko's and other locations) and drop the box off. The box should have come with a prepaid shipping label and instructions on the form your filled out (model, serial, passwords, problem, etc.) with the number you need to call.

i had to ship to lenovo also but my box was from DHL.

i'd much rather have fedex than DHL, they left first empty box to be packed on my doorstep without ringing the bell. i'd be real pissed at DHL if they left my laptop there.

No matter which shipping company they use, you will have to call to schedule a pickup or you can deliver it to any Drop-off center. Don't worry about them leaving the laptop on your doorstep because the shipper will be required to get a signature before dropping off.
