I don't use bluetooth at all, but the little bluetooth indicator light underneath the screen is always on. How to turn if off? Thanks...
-
you can press Fn+F5 to turn it off.
-
Oh that easy, thanks! Any undesirable effect to leave it on? Consumes battery?
-
Well, the light itself uses very little battery, but the bluetooth radio which the light indicates is on uses way more. So shut it off if you're not using it.

Got it, thanks!

Instead of creating a new thread...
I notice that my bluetooth is off by default -- great. However, the WLAN default is on. I'm guessing that refers to using the 3g card? I won't be using that so can I turn this off by default? Thanks. -
You mean WWAN, WLAN refers the 802.11a/b/g/n wifi cards. But there is an option in the Fn+F5 menu to turn off the WWAN card as well.
-
Hehe, sorry that was a typo. I did that but does it remember across reboots/shutdowns?
-
I don't have wwan, but it remembers my bluetooth and wlan settings across reboots, so I figure it must do the same with wwan, right?
-
Yes, it does. However, I have noticed that sometimes the light remains on even though the device is off.

Thanks for the answers guys.
