Hey, guys...
I got a question about the International Warranty Service in Ireland.
My thinkpad is bought in Hong Kong, and the last time I checked the warranty service on the Lenovo website, it's still in warranty and my IWS covers Ireland.
Now it got a trouble with the fan and I need to change it for a new one.
Does anyone have an experience of warranty service in Ireland?
Thanks so much.

I don't. You're going to have to call them anyway, so get it over with.

I'd call them, most likely they'll send you a new fan in the mail. If it's just the fan it'd cost them 10 times more to pay UPS to tranfer the whole laptop back and forth. good luck

heatsink/fan is not a CRU, so they have to take the laptop into the depot and fix them.

Thanks so much.
I will call them anyway to see what they can do about it.
I'd like to go to their department to fix it in person.
It's not so far anyway. -
Just wondering, do you have an Irish accent? :X

I am not in Ireland right now.
I will go to Dublin next month. Then I will call them.
I need to use my laptop to work everyday. So I'd like they send me a new fan and I replace it by myself.
You mean they probably won't do that? Why? -
Because heatsink/fan is not a CRU (customer replaceable unit), so you will have to send it in for swap. Only large corporate customers under certain warranty condition can request parts for their own IT team to swap out.
But you can't.
