I have two T61 and the plastic in the right palm area is pretty flex and I think it is a quality issue.
How the T500?
Can any T500 owner share his/her experience?
Thanks.

T500 is so new that nobody really has one?

I have the same problem. Also there is some sound when you turn the laptop upside down.

I can tell you that the reviews on the keyboard build are ridiculous. I am using a t500 currently and the build construction is solid as far as the keyboard is concerned. As far as the right plastic, I know what you are talking about (I had previously used an X60 and had the same frustration). I contribute the flex to the finger print reader. The flex is very very minimal. The only way you even would argue the flex is if you deliberately take two fingers and push hard on the right palm wrest. Unless you're a wrestler or body builder, I never would even have noticed it.

mine has a tiny bit of flex near the arrow keys

My T400 has flex on the right palm rest. I also have the finger print reader.
Is the right palm plastic flex on T500?
