New Lenovo 3000 n200,getting rid of vista and installing xp,is there a correct order for installing xp drivers?? Why I ask is my old acer needed drivers to be installed in a certain order..
Thanks in advance.
-
Install the Chipset driver first, rest in any order.
(GPU > Audio > Modem/LAN/Wifi/Card Reader/MSM etc etc) -
andy's right. chipset first. then it's your choice.
-
Install the BIOS updates (if any) and the chipset drivers. Others will follow.
ONE MORE:
in some notebooks, you have to change the hard drive settings in the BIOS, else it will not allow the XP installation. -
Thanks..I have already nlited w/ sata drivers..
-
I usually install the service pack first and don't pay much attention to the drivers. Hasn't failed me so far.
-
After the service pack though, I always install chipset drivers first. Then it doesn't really matter as was previously stated.
Is there a correct installation order for drivers?
