    Is there a correct installation order for drivers?

    New Lenovo 3000 n200,getting rid of vista and installing xp,is there a correct order for installing xp drivers?? Why I ask is my old acer needed drivers to be installed in a certain order..

    Install the Chipset driver first, rest in any order.

    (GPU > Audio > Modem/LAN/Wifi/Card Reader/MSM etc etc)

    Install the BIOS updates (if any) and the chipset drivers. Others will follow.

    ONE MORE:

    in some notebooks, you have to change the hard drive settings in the BIOS, else it will not allow the XP installation.

    I usually install the service pack first and don't pay much attention to the drivers. Hasn't failed me so far.

    That makes two. :)

    After the service pack though, I always install chipset drivers first. Then it doesn't really matter as was previously stated.
