I realize now that I should have gotten the 9 cell and shoudn't have gotten the fingerprint reader. Since they are the same price, is there any way to switch just those two or would I have to cancel my order and place another one?

Doubt it, I called to try and switch from Vista Home Basic to another OS, and they told me it would be a complete cancel and reorder.

Yah, same boat here... I tried to upgrade my order from the 2.2GHz to 2.4GHz proc and they said due to the nature of how the order is placed in the system, it cannot be changed. Ironically they were able to change my shipping address which was incorrect despite it being correct in my account profile.

So I cancelled and re-ordered and my ship date was only pushed back 3 more days... and that was a week after I initially ordered. But I take those dates with a grain of salt anyway.

Whenever I ordered, I had the whole SPP + USPJULY72 or whatver coupon. If I cancel my order, there isnt anyway to get that same discount right? I'd be better off just buying a 9cell, becasue that 10% saved me more than a 9cell costs (I'm guessing)

I would just stick with your order, its not a big deal to buy a new battery later on. Plus the finger print reader is pretty handy.

Agreed. There is the SPP + USXIBMSPPTRIPLE coupon code that could save you close to what you were discounted on your initial order. But I would test order with the codes, then cancel and re-order the same day if you reaaaally wanted to make sure get what you wanted.

But if it's just a battery option, just order that later. A spare battery is never a bad thing to have. Since the battery is a modular and swappable option, I wouldn't consider that a deal breaker reason to cancel your order.
