This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Is this DLL Norton's?

    When I got my T61, I first used Norton for antivirus. Now I have removed it by first Add/Remove programs, then Norton's Remove Tool, and then manual deletion from the system registry. I still find this piece.

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Lenovo\InvAgent\local\collect\norton.dll

    Is this DLL Norton's?

    I searched via Google for any information on that DLL and looked for the use of the InvAgent folder and didn't really find any useful information as yet. I removed Norton from this machine and see that the same file is still on this machine. Since you have uninstalled Norton, and since DLL's generally don't do anything by themselves withouth the program they exist to serve, I'd suggest just leaving it at least until someone with more knowledge comments on it.

    Dave, thanks for the confirmation. I notice that I can delete this DLL without any problem. This further indicates its neutrality. I simply leave it there.
