it is okay. But i would probably pay a little more for the X1 Carbon.

At that price i would also say the carbon is a better choice

I have that exact model, orange and everything. It's easily the best laptop I've ever owned. $1400 new. It is premium build, excellent keyboard, the alluminum finish is great and super strong.
The only negatives are 1.) Screen, it's 1366x768 and not super bright, but is certainly fine. 2.) no backlit keyboard, 3.) no SD card reader. Those were never enough to deter me, I still love using it.
I just bought the Lenovo Yoga, and its screen is 1000 times better, BUT the U300s build quality is better and U300s keyboard is better. I originally planned on selling my U300s to help cover the cost of the Yoga, but part of me wants to keep it.
Good luck to you, let us know what you do. The carbon is awesome for sure, but won't be as unique as the U300s. Also, if you're thinking about the Carbon, wait until December when they release the touchscreen.
Is this U300s worth the price?
