I went into presferences on my laptop to change the screen resolution to 1280x1024 but the highest my laptop's resolution will go is 1280x800. I would really like a 1280x1024 resolution. Is there a way to do this?

On a side note I like to change my wallpaper a lot and store all my wallpapers in a folder but I never see any online that match the 1280x800 resolution.

PS- I believe my laptop has a 15' screen if that has anything to do with it. I looked and it said it recommended 1280x760 for 15' screens but when I changed it everything became blurry and hard to read, so I went back to 800.

This is hardware issue. The maximum allowable screen resolution allowable by your screen in 1280x800 - the standard for pretty much all 15.4 widescreen notebooks.

Unless you know your screen is better (WSXGA,WUXGA etc) than standard resolution then this is likely the cause.

_radditz_ is right. The LCD screen has a resolution maximum that cannot be changed unless you are ready to do some hard-core modifications.

    Oh, ok. Thanks.

Does anyone know why when I save a wallpaper that is 1280x760 to a folder in my documents and I try to set it as the background the whole thig doesnt fit on ym wallpaper? If I click it on the website and save it as my wallpaper form there it does though...

I tried setting my res to 1280x760 but it just gets blurry.

yah, 1280x760 is not the native resolution. It will stretch/shrink to fit the screen accordingly
