    Is this a build quality problem?

    I received my T60 yesterday and no doubt it's awesome. Although I wished I listened to those with reason here and not ordered the WSXGA+ screen as it is tough to read things. ;)

    Now to my question I notice a "slight" hump on my T60 along the ThinkVantage bar where the audio and on/off buttons are placed. There's an ever so slight rise/bulge between the Blue ThinkVantage and On/Off buttons and just behind it as well leading to where the display cable is routed to the LCD panel.

    I'm not trying to be nit picky, just wanted to see if others are similar to mine, As I said it's a very small bulge, but I do remember cvec7 mentioning something about this in the past.

    The lappie is very sweet regardless. :cool:

    Yes, mine has same hump. Very slight indeed. I believe you have identified the culprit in the display cable ribbon. I wouldn't call it a problem as much as a slight asthetic issue. Oh well.

    Actually, I never noticed it till just now. So yeah, mine does have it too. But like I said...I never noticed it till now...

    I have it too and I just ignore it. But the amount of flex around that area is scaring me a bit..lol

    try to tighten the screw on bottom of laptop it might be that it's loose. Or the part wasn't installed correctly. Mine doesn't have this problem.

    Now everyone will notice the hump...thanks for sharing ! It's like that buzzing noise no one can hear until someone mentions it....
