    I'm having second thoughts about adding the wireless USB... Why do we even need it ?

    Wifi-N should do it at almost same speed with far supirior distance.

    But Wifi_N doesn't free your wired usb2.0 connections and make them wireless that's why. ;)
    ..at least once certified wusb hubs are available.

    Where did you find that out? I ordered a T61p and they shipped it but I don't know the real parts numbers. My Lenovo Order Status webpage says 42V8288 SBB 15.4 WUXGA TFT.

    EDIT: I found out... just go to warranty and then parts lookup. OMG!!! They shipped 42T0360 42T0361 15.4 INCH LCD DISPLAY FRU YES!!!!! THIS IS LG!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!! I neved thought I could be so lucky.... man!!!

    Anyway, I'm sorry yours shipped with Samsung.

    True i haven't seen the 15.4'' samsung LCD in person....

    But i've seen the 14 and it was garbage... i'm just afriad to open the box and be subjected to the 15% restocking.

    I know the LG is great cause i have one.

    So you are getting a particular manufacturer's LCD? How did you tell what LCD you have in the computer?

    I just wish mine did not have a sound problem...

    LCD's, hard drive models are all luck of the draw with Lenovo, Dell, HP, etc.

    You seem to want to wait until the unit ships, do a parts lookup, then refuse the shipment if the parts are not what you want???

    I am not sure what you expected, since you knew in advance that there were two possible screens that could be shipped.

    I'm tempted to actually open one of them and see if the 15.4 samsung is maybe as good as the LG.

    The quality of the W14 left such bad impression on me.


    Anyone compared the 15.4 LG and Samsung ? (in person)

    Well seems like the reason they shipped the second so fast is because it was never tested....

    2nd boot and i get Hardware Failure... memory parity something on a blue background....

    The samsung screen is suprisingly not that far off the LG, though it has a couple of non uniformaties and light leakage from the buttom.
