Lenovo is selling the Lenovo IdeaPad U450 with a 14" screen, 2 gigs of DDR3 RAM and celeron processor for £280 ($438 US)
I was planning to get a netbook for xmas but I mean the screen is 4 inches bigger than most, extra gig of RAM not to mention DDR3 instead of DDR2 and has the celeron rather than atom processor.
I wanted a netbook because I couldn't afford a notebook this year but it seems I could get something more in the ultraportable range instead, should I go for it?

For your budget, that's a pretty good deal.

this machine is really not a netbook in size or weight class, it is a full sized notebook. But having said that the price seems attractive, while the celeron cpu with 1 core is a bit weak. But you can always upgrade the CPU later, which makes the system a worthwhile upgrade platform at this given price point.
Is this an awesome deal or what?
