    99% sure that there is no 7 cell. Methinks your thinking of the 9 Cell.

    Hello,

    There is indeed a 7-cell battery for the T400 with the FRU 41U3197: http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/...11FC39C49AEB4E7B2C239F0D071&model-number=7732 . It's also compatible with the 14.1" T60 and R60 series.

    The 6-cell battery rated at 10.8V and 5.2Ah provides you with 56.16Wh, while the 7-cell rated at a higher 14.4V, but still 5.2Ah, provides you with 74.88Wh. So, the 7-cell has about 1.3 times or 33% longer runtime than the 6-cell battery.

    The 6-cell weighs 350 grams, while the 7-cell weighs 380 grams - only 30 grams more.
