I recently acquired a t60, and love it.

However, I have an issue. When i toggle the wireless switch into the off position, it shuts everything off like it should, however when i turn it back on, it doesn't remember my "previous settings"--just turns both radios back on.

For example I will have wifi off and bluetooth on, then hit the hardware switch and both radios turn off. Then I turn it back on again and both my wifi and bt activate.

I have the fn+f5 settings set so that it remembers the last known power state..what gives?

Also periodically the machine beeps at me...like a system beep, any reason this should happen?

No windows open, and it usually beeps when I am typing.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks!

Search this forum on "turn off beep," and you will find a way to do that.

Weird about the wireless settings -- mine remembers that I don't use Bluetooth and doesn't turn it back on. Perhaps a setting in ThinkVantage needs to be changed?

My X60 behaved like that. To fix it, i had the switch ON, then i did F5, wireless, and set the bluetooth explicitly on & off again, then close. Then i did a shutdown. After i rebooted, switching the switch off and on again behaved as expectd again.

Thanks, Skibunny, I'll give it a go.

EDIT: That seems to have solved it.
