    Hey,
Okay so I have some issues with my T420. A month ago I spilt water all over it and it practically died, even after I left it for two days without power it still wouldn't boot. A week later I decided to try once more and it booted, but it has some weird issues. First off, it has a odd way of being started now, to start it you have to plug the charger in for 10 seconds, unplug it and then hold the power for 3 seconds until you see the Lenovo bios screen. Also, I cannot use Caps Lock anymore. When I do, the laptop goes *BEEP BEEP*..... *BEEEEEEP* and seems to short out and turn off (No normal shutdown), although if I press it and quickly press it again to turn caps lock off, it just goes to sleep, so it seems that pressing caps lock is the equivalent to holding the power button, and then turning off caps lock is like letting go of the power button. The last issue is that every mouse button (Both primary and secondary for the trackpad and track point) when clicked, clicks Normal click, right click, and scroll. It's like they're all being pressed down at the same time. I'm wondering if it could be the keyboard playing up because it got so water logged, or if it would be the motherboard damaged. If it's the motherboard I won't bother fixing it as I've bought a new rMBP anyways.
    Thanks :)

A first step to debug would be to plug in an external keyboard and verify that everything keyboard-related functions properly. Not sure what could be causing the strange startup issue, unless you also have motherboard damage. You'd probably be best off waiting for someone else to chime in here.

Alright I just plugged in an external keyboard and mouse, and caps lock still seems to short the system, and the buttons on the external mouse are all messed up like on the T420's trackpad :\ Guessing it's not looking good then

Okay just tried it without the keyboard plugged in (had BIOS set to boot when AC is connected) and it seems to work fine, the mouse acts normal and caps lock doesn't turn the system off :D Seems I just need to order a new keyboard now
