    Just thought I would share a story with you guys. It sums up why we all own thinkpads. I had a glass of water on my desk, I know I know, and I knocked it onto my T61 right in the middle. I forced a shut down and immediately unplugged it and removed the battery. I got what I could with a towel but most had already gone through the spill holes! I opened it up and put in my basement with the dehumidifier for the weekend. Today I put it back together plugged it in an now I'm typing on it. Its what makes a thinkpad a thinkpad.

    t400/t500 = crap!

    just kidding.

    that's a good story; i also spilled some water on my computer; it was a t400 and it still works fine

    I do like that feature. But I always keep uncapped drinks away from my rig. :)

    Toughbooks are a little different (the fully rugged ones).

    But that seems fun.

    do T400 have some flex between the speaker and the palm rest joint ?
    or it just me ?

    A little bit on the side with the ultra bay, yes.

    Yes, it's some empty space inside. However, the other side should be solid.
