Anyone knows the way to connect with N protocol, not G?? I have a Linksys WAG325N and a Intel Wifi Link 4965 A/G/N and I cannot connect with N technology. I've upgrade the firmware from 1.00.06 to 1.00.11 and update the driver of the wireless card too (11.05.0.32).

    Hi dani

I am using linksys WRT150N, but no wifi, because I dont have any wifi devices. Next week I will get my first notebook T61p and I will try to configure wifi connection. I read a thread where anyone wrote that the N in Wifi Link 4965 A/G/N is desable by default. I am not sure is it true, but someone on this forum can help you.

First go into your router setup (192.168.1.1) and make sure that your router is set to output with N. Curisouly, my D link came default output with B?! Then set the router security to AES (no other type of security , ie WPA, will work). Then you should be able to get full 144 Mbps speed.

I put the WPA2 (AES) encryption and I get wireless N and 130Mbps, but this when I'm near the router, but when I go to other zone of the house my signal disappear.... and the that I've got is a poor G signal....

Just for a test, unplug your cordless telphones (if you have any) and check the signal. Also, how close are your neighbors? Try changing the channel number on the router.

Your best bet is to change the channel, you are most likely getting interferance from other wireless devices on the same channel
