It's ridiculous how many people are getting their Lenovos like 2-3 months later....

Depends on what you order. Some parts may be delayed and that delays the whole shipment. Some shipments can get lost. It could be the country your ordering from. It could also be luck. I got mine in 2 weeks. Others who ordered around my time took a lot longer.

i placed my order on april 7th with probably a lot upgrades than standard r61 (cam, bluetooth, dvd burner, 1 ram stick, higher resolution screen.. etc) and i just received a notification today at 12pm saying all or part of my order is shipped (i did not buy ibm bag so only thing on the PO is the laptop, so it must be the laptop)

since i only plan to play midcore games like guild wars and etc. i think ill live fine with x3100... if not i guess ill still crack up my C2D E6400 + x1950 desktop machine

    It took my T61 14w 17 days to make it to my house. And that included a few accessories which could have added delays;

Serial ATA Hard Drive Bay adapter
    Ultrabay battery
    90 watt charger
    AC/Car/Airplane 90 watt charger
    External battery charger.
7 cell battery (to go along with my 9 cell battery)

I ordered mine pretty well loaded up with the exception of the video card - I was going for longer battery life. I was pleased with the delivery of my notebook. And it came just in time for my vacation. :D

Once again, forums aren't really a great barometer of how many people experience delays or problems with a manufacturer.

A vast majority of Lenovo owners don't visit forums.

    The ones that do are:
    1) Researching what laptop they want to buy.
    2) Have a problem and want a place for it to be seen.
    3) Computer hardware nuts that like to visit forums (I fall in this category)

At first I thought when you wrote 14w, you meant 14 weeks  but then you had that big smiley face and I realized it was the 14" widescreen lol!

I think it is the batteries (9-cell) and the extra wireless configurations. I think that is why battery prices went up as well - higher demand, smaller supply, higher price, and longer wait.

Right now, if you order without the WWAN antenna, it's 1-2 weeks, but with it is 4+ weeks. My friend ordered a T61 and it came in less than a week from Hong Kong. It's as if it was built right away and shipped.

Ah...a "vent your/my frustrations" thread. I'm not sure how many of these people that are getting their orders delayed were ordering from Lenovo Canada vs. Lenovo USA. My turnaround was less than a business week when I ordered my CTO R61 from Lenovo USA.

My 3/31 T61 order has an estimated ship of 5/21. I followed up to see what was holding it up thinking I might cancel/reorder reducing the 7 week wait. I was told that the 9 cell battery is what my order was waiting on.

I ordered a CTO X61 with 8 cell battery and Penryn 2.4Ghz in the US on April 10th. It shipped today, April 16th. Not bad at all.
