    I'm waiting for the Thinkpad X1 Carbon 6th gen to be on sale, also supposed to be in January.

    Yep, I see it. would love to see a nice owners thread in the Lenovo forum. So far they only show 3 builds for sale, the one I want with 16 gig ram and 1T SSD is not available in 1080 (which is what I want. :( )

    Hi @jefflackey. Mine has arrived. Quite a nice machine (I went for the 512 GB SSD / 16 GB ram / 500 nit monitor one).

    So far everything has been great. Linux installed with no major hassle, CPU performance is on par with the 7700HQ. The display is gorgeous (and that's without HDR support), battery life is what I expected and the SSD is on par with my SM961 (i.e., almost as fast as a 960 Pro). It's light, beautiful and has a really nice keyboard.

    Small list of cons: It can get a little warm, SD card reader is on the back, can't get the fingerprint scanner to work (as expected), fans are often on (although they aren't loud).

    I'll see if I can get a Owner's lounge thread started.
