I ordered a T400 last week to replace my T42p that recently quit. i know that Lenovo will match the price if it goes down with 21 days or so. But i just saw that Lenovo is now offering the 160gb HD as the lowest choice instead of the 80gb HD that I ordered. And the price is less. In addition to refunding me the difference, do you think it's possible to work out some sort of HD upgrade as well?

What are the specs on the T400?

You could try calling them and explaining the situation.
-
You can try to talk to them, but from what I've heard, they will only pricematch the exact same laptop with identical specifications.
-
My guess would be you'll have to cancel and re-order.
-
i'd like to cancel and reorder but it has already been shipped. according to the ups tracking, it left china and arrived in kansas or kentucky (one of the k states), then somehow it was in hong kong the next day. now its in korea. i think it was lost and they sent another one.

Then you're hosed.
-
well, I guess you are wrong
It was not arrived at the K states
That only indicate your order has been reported to local custom which the laptop will be first arrived in U.S.
At that moment , your laptop is still waiting for the plane. -
Lenovo will only price match the exact configuration. They are very inflexible on this point.
