Just wondering, since I know Lenovo's are bios limited to certain network cards. Would ANY intel 5100 wifi card work?
I had tried to transplant the intel 6100 card from my former T410, and it wouldn't boot saying there's an unauthorized network card installed. Checking the hardware maintenance manual and at IBM, I could get a 5100 wifi card from IBM that would work, but they want $89 for it. :\ I could get a 5100 from Newegg for far less. Before I purchase, I'd like to be certain, will it work?

Edit: nevermind, it's the wrong size. I need a half-size card.

You need a Lenovo FRU card or you will get the same message OR you need to hack your BIOS (proceed at your own risk).

You DON'T have to buy it through IBM, Ebay Lenovo 5100 and you pick away.
