Finally got my T60 here in Hongkong!

Everything I read about it regarding durable casing, excellent keyboard, average quality screen, solid feeling seems very true. I just can't say the same to my older HP DV1000.

Just finished setting up the fingerprint software and I'm writing to you using a WIFI connection here in my hotel room.

As the wifi signal here is quite weak, I noticed that the WIFI turns off by itself from time to time and I have to hit Fn+F5 key to turn on WIFI manually every few minutes. And when I do so, I'm connected to the hotel internet network automatically.

Could there be something wrong about my T60 ? Or does the very weak WIFI signal have anything to do about my problem? I'm worried i might have gotten a defective unit and just want to know if this is normal.

Anyway, later on, I registered the hotel WIFI connection in my T60 using the ThinkVantage Access Connections program and I don't get disconnected anymore. Am I supposed to do this for every WIFI network I join?

Interesting because I'm going to Hong Kong next week... lol

I don't think it's your T60, if you're in the Hong Kong island side, just go to another 5 stars hotel and test your connection in the lobby. If you're in the Kowloon side, go to one of the nearest electronic store and test the connection since they have open WiFi avilable.

My T43 with Intel 2915ABG does that also from time to time (maybe once or twice a week). I'm not sure what's causing it since I have a very strong signal all the time.
