I ordered the wxga+ for this was awhile ago. but I can't figure out if I actually have the wxga+ or the regular.
I saw the sticky on how to find the part but I can't match the number with any on the list.
    here it is
42T0426 42T0427 14.1 INCH LCD DISPLAY FRU YES

I tried customer support and they couldn't give me a concise answer and speculated that it was just the wxga. but I really don't want to deal with returning it right now as I'm in school and don't want to be without the laptop for who knows how long.

If any of you can help me figure out how to find out what monitor type I have I would appreciate it.
    TIA.

Is WXGA 1280x800 and WXGA+ 1440x900? If so, then see what the native resolution is on the screen.

Try to change the resolution to 1440x900 under display settings. If you can then you have the wxga+ screen i think.

    Hi,

I do have it at the 1440 x 900 resolution....is that a sure fire method?

    Thanks for the quick responses!

oh yeah, and how do I find out who made the monitor....doesn't seem to match the list from the sticky.

If you can get your laptop to display 1440×900 resolution, then you have WXGA+. LCD laptops can only go lower in resolution, not higher.
