Just got my Y510P today, is this the connector for the M.2 SSD?

I ordered this model Newegg.com - Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p (59406648) Notebook Intel Core i7 4700MQ (2.40GHz) 16GB Memory 1TB SSHD HDD 15.6" Windows 8.1 and according to the model number on Amazon it did have the connector. After viewing a couple of threads in here, mine appears a little different so I'm unsure if mine actually came with it.

    Here's a couple of pictures:

If anyone could let me know I'd appreciate it!

Alright sweet! Thanks for the confirmation, this laptop was definitely a steal and having an m.2 SSD would make it even better! I'll look into messaging him once I can afford it.

OP can you confirm that this model does in fact have the 7260 as Jobine stated? I was very interested in getting a Y510p but did not want to have to wait for Lenovo to get their act together with shipping delays and definitely did not want the horrid N2230.

Gosutomaji does your SSHD have the 24GB caching SSD? The specs on that page don't specify.

No. It only has the M.2 connector. There have been reports that the models that don't include the 24GB SSD do not have the connector to add one later. It seems that some do, and some don't. His post was confirming that the model he ordered without the SSD does have the M.2/NGFF connector (to add your own larger SSD).

It does have the 8GB caching ssd though and the 7260, they both show up in the device manager.

How about the keyboard? Is it just red and not backlit?
Because the description implied that although it can be just
    a typo error.

Every single north american model should come with a backlit keyboard. Also to turn it on, press Fn+Space.

The 8GB is built in to the HDD, it is not a separate SSD drive. So the 8GB "SSD" has nothing to do with the M.2 port.

Still doesn't mean the connector can't be included. So far, every single Y510p with 7260 has the connector, regardless of HDD or SSHD.

Never said it excluded the M.2 connector. Just pointed out that the 8GB is not a separate SSD, and as such is not installed in the M.2 slot, since there seemed to be some misunderstanding about that.

How do you know that all the 7260 models have the M.2 connector? And does that apply to the Y410p as well?
