I just got my new T42 last Friday and I tested it during last weekend. Unfortunately, I found there is one dark spot in my screen. It is not a big deal but it is definitely very annoying.
I wonder if it is normal for new IBM Thinkpad to have more or less dark/white spots on the LCD screen. Can I exchange it with IBM?

no , I don't think you can return it because there is one spot, but you can return it within 30 days after you purchase this laptop direct from IBM.

If you bought it directly from IBM, you can return it within 30 days no questions asked. If you find a bad pixel after the 30 days expires, then your out of luck unless there are 9 or more I believe.
