Just got my new T61 14.1".

Installed 4GB ram and replaced the HD with a WD 320GB.

    Now lets talk accessories.

Charger/AC Adapters. Anyone know what the best / most portable charger there is that will work with this unit?

I see Lenovo has a new slim AC Charger coming out (4 weeks for shipping) - Then there are those from Kensington, Igo, and others. Anyone here with any experience with these? I want something with AC, Airplane and Auto adapters. Something that may have power tips for other devices would be cool too.

Privacy screen? Anyone use one of these? What do you think? - are they worth the effort?

Any other stuff I should look at getting with my new toy?

You basically have everything down on your list already.

    External Speakers.
    Wireless mouse.
    Wireless printer maybe ?
    External flat panel display ?
    External Back-lit Keyboard ?
USB external keyboard light ? ( well, our Thinkpads already have the Thinklight, so I think this would be a waste of money).
Ummm, I can't think of any more ways to accessorise your new laptop, but I'm sure there is many more suggestions out there.
Congrats. on your new computer, I'm sure you will enjoy it, as am I. I also asked the same question, and the only accessory I found worth while (and most cost effective) was to just get the wireless mouse, and leave it at that. I may get a wireless external keyboard later on down the road, since I mainly use my T61 as a desktop PC anyway. The keyboard is so excellent though, that I may not even get one after all.
Our laptops are the best of the best ! (Well, could use some better speakers anyway, I won't get too carried away lol).

My accessory interests are a spare (9 cell) battery, a good case, and a docking station.

Ahh, forgot the carry case, gotta have a good carry case :) I personally have a Targus laptop carry bag, that's a little banged up now (you can thank airport security for that lol).

My last case was Targus. It was great but didn't last very long. This time I picked up a Swiss Gear (Wenger) double gusset bag. It's built like a tank but doesn't weight a ton. The zippers are very heavy. I think this one may last longer than the last one.

And for the record, the best accessory is a 24" external monitor for back at the office :)

Anyone buy a 3rd party AC/Air/Auto charger? What is the smallest and best one out there that will worth with the T61?
