I've been wanting one for awhile but couldn't get myself to spend that much money. But with the clearance pricing I pulled the trigger. The x301 seems like a respectable upgrade, but I don't really need the extra processing power since I have a powerful desktop and just need a lightweight for travel.

It is very industrial looking and the keyboard lives up to the hype. I split using the trackpad and button so they are both useful. I wouldn't want to be without the trackpad since it's so handy for scrolling.

It's nice and quiet unless I block the air ports when I place it on my lap and the fan kicks up.

p.s. I went for XP since Vista is supposedly slower and more of a resource hog
I wanted the extra resolution compared to the mac air, but my eyesight isn't what it used to be and I had to dial back the resolution anyway.

I really like the 13" screen so I can have more than one window visible.

The only thing I would really want is for a 2lb laptop including power brick so I would never have to make the choice of taking it on a trip.

I was wondering how much long your battery lasts including the size of your battery.
