exactly what title says, not really a big deal but kinda opens up a small tiny gap because it's missing a screw.

Where is it missing? I notice that it is in the bottom, on the right corner, close to the two USB ports.

I am not sure it is missing or it is supposed to be that way.

The screw near the 2 USB ports is for the optional security screw to hold in the optical bay. Optional, and the 2 screws came in the hardware box with your laptop.

The missing screw next to the single USB is to hold the CD/DVD player in place and prevent (easy) taking it off. You should have received a screw in a little plastic bag with your brand new computer; it goes there.

There already are threads explaining this in details, with pictures.

I have an R61 that was also missing the security screw to hold in the CD/DVD drive. There was no screw in a little plastic bag included in my order. I submitted a service request online and was sent an entire screw kit (every screw they use in the notebooks construction) for the R61 a couple days later. I guess I have all the backup screws I will ever need now :D I guess it was easier for them to send the whole kit instead of just the one screw.
